If you are a Member of Axminster Art Society you may submit up to four images for display on this website. Please have a look at the gallery pages to see how the images are displayed.
It works like this.
The first thing you must, must do is to make yourself aware of the ground rules - some of which have legal implications. We think this is so important that we specifically ask you to confirm you have done so and would stress that submission of images indicates that you accept these constraints. The rules are as follows:-
- Only members may submit images and these will be removed from the site if, and when, membership ceases.
- The Society reserves the right not to display images where space is at a premium or for any other reason.
- Most, though not all, web images are not protected from digital copying and our site is no exception. The Society cannot accept any responsibility in this respect.
- Whilst your images are your own copyright, the Society takes no responsibility for the legal protection of this right.
- "Exhibition" rules apply inasmuch as the image must be of your own, original work, not copied from any other artist and not based on a photograph other than one you have taken yourself or you have used with permission.
- The Society does not currently take commission for work sold through this website.
- The Society reserves the right to change these rules at any time.
- Submission of images assumes you have read, understood and will abide by these rules.
Preparation of the Images
- Images should be in jpeg format not less than 72 dpi (pixels/dots per inch).
- Images can be high resolution when submitted but, after any editing required, will be reduced by the Webmaster to 72 dpi for speed of downloading by site visitors.
- The Webmaster may crop images and/or skew them (but only where they have been photographed "skewed" in the first place) to maintain the general appearance of the site, but the originals will be kept on file, unchanged.
- Images may be submitted by e:mail or on disk
In the first instance, please complete this on-line form. When it is acknowledged we will ask for the images.
